New Owner, Same Great Coffee

A local, independently-owned coffee house, North Cove Coffee was established in 2011 by Bob & Jan Coe. New owner Dave Johnson’s journey to North Cove Coffee has been a long time coming, and he’s so glad he’s here!

Always a coffee lover, he began searching for a location five years ago. He remained determined and just recently took over the Burlington coffee house from original owners. “I want to take Bob and Jan’s original vision for North Cove and simply expand on it,” Dave explains.

Loyal regulars can be assured that what they already love about the award-winning North Cove Coffee – Bob’s original roasting recipe and featuring local artists and photographers – will remain the same. Dave is ready to dive into his new venture. “My passion is coffee and people. Period. End of story!”

Dave is joined by newly named manager Kelsie McCallister who has been with North Cove Coffee for three years. Hailing from Wenatchee Washington, Kelsie loves fishing, kayaking, crabbing, and painting when she’s not at the coffee house. She shares Dave’s enthusiasm for great coffee and connecting with people.

North Cove Coffee's commitment to excellence starts with people – from the farmers who harvest the beans, to the skilled and artful baristas, to our wonderful customers. Each drink is made with love, care, and a passion for great coffee. A true testament to their mission, they were voted “Best Coffee Shop in Skagit County” in 2013 and 2014 and were nominated for the King 5 Evening Magazine “Best of Western Washington” contest in 2014.
